STATIC CONTROL

Static Control of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) in accordance with ANSI/ ESD TR20.20, S20.20 & TR53

Assistance with the establishment and implementation of an ESD Program

Create:

  • Written ESD Control Program

  • Training Plan

  • Product Qualification Plan

  • Compliance Verification Plan

Provide guidance and direction to improve an existing ESD program to improve quality control of (ESD)

  • ESD Survey:

    • Comprehensive review of an existing ESD program to understand or otherwise improve the current level of compliance with industry standards.

      • Observations are made.

      • Compliance verification tests and measurements are conducted.

      • Suggestions and recommendations for consideration are provided.

      • A written report is furnished with any observations, tests and measurements performed with suggestions or recommendations for consideration.

  • ESD Assessment:

    • A review of specific ESD control methods, procedures, equipment or materials.

      • Similar to a survey, with a focus on specific areas of concern.

      • A written report is furnished with any observations, tests and measurements performed with suggestions or recommendations for consideration.

Training

  • Fundamentals of ESD Awareness & Preventative Measures in accordance with Industry Standard S20.20, an introduction and training to an organization’s ESD program.

    • Personnel that handle or come in contact with ESD sensitive devices will be taught ESD awareness, prevention techniques and the proper procedures of all applicable elements of an organization’s specific ESD program.

    • Comprehensive explanation and instruction on the functionality and purpose of industry standard for Electrostatic Discharge Control Program ANSI S20.20.

  • TR53 Compliance Verification

    • General review of the requirements, test methods, and equipment that can be used to periodically verify the performance of ESD protective equipment and materials.

Initial ESD flooring footwear system qualification

  • Qualification of ESD flooring and footwear system(s) – It is a requirement of ANSI S20.20 7.3 that flooring footwear systems must be initially qualified. Flooring, footwear and body voltage must meet table 2 requirements, and body voltage generation tests should be conducted periodically.

    • Qualification report of all tests and measurement furnished.

      • Any failures or non-compliant measurements that are out of specification will be identified.

      • Recommendations for corrective actions will be included.

  • Periodic body voltage testing.

    • Report provided with test and measurements results.

Compliance Verification Testing

  • Supplemental testing and measuring assistance.

    • Test, measure, record results of any ESD equipment or materials.

Identify probable causes of suspected or confirmed ESD events, suggest and recommend methods to mitigate ESD events causing quality issues or concerns.
